Printer Set-Up

If you utilise a Supply'd scanner you can take advantage of the Supply'd print server to print directly to Bluetooth and WiFi label and receipt printers from a Supply'd scanner.

Printers are configured on an account level allowing you to set them up once and then access them on any of your Supply'd scanners. In Printer Set-up you can set your printers to print your labels or receipts straight from Supply'd. To configure a printer follow the settings below.

This document will take you through the steps for:

Adding a Printer

Go to Settings

Click on your company name in the top right and select Settings.

Go to the Printer Settings Page

To edit a printer settings, go to the Printers list as above, ie.


Removing a Printer

To edit a printer settings, simply go to the Printers list as above, ie.

Select Printer Set-up

Scroll down and select Printer Set-up from the Settings menu.

A list of any printers used for Supply'd will show.

Printers in the list are tagged and colour-coded with and on the Printers list for easy identification.

You can rearrange the Printers list by clicking and dragging the 3 lines next to a printer’s name to move it where you want.

Click Add+

To add a new printer, click the Add + button in the top right corner.

You can also access this using the 3 dot menu beside the Add + button and selecting Add Printer.

The Add Printer form will open.

The Label and WiFi sections will look different depending on whether your printer is connected via WiFi or Bluetooth. The screenshot above shows the options for a WiFi connection; the one below is for Bluetooth.

Complete the sections as per the guidelines below:

Add Printer

Name* [required field]

A reference name for the printer.

Printer Location* [required field]

The location where the printer is located. Select one of your locations from the drop-down menu.

Printer Type* [required field]

The type of printer being used. Select one of the following from the drop-down menu.

  • Label: A printer that is used to print labels.

  • Receipt: A printer that is used to print receipts.

Connection Type* [required field]

The type of connection this printer uses. Select one of the following from the drop-down menu.

  • Wifi: A printer that uses Wifi to connect. (The printer must be on the same Wifi connection as the scanner to work.)

  • Bluetooth: A printer that uses Bluetooth to connect.

Size* [required field]

The standard paper size for the printer in millimetres.

Language* [required field]

The print language this printer uses. Select one of the following from the drop-down menu.

  • TSPL: A printer that uses TSPL as it's language. This is commonly used for a Wifi label printer.

  • ESC/POS: A printer that uses ESC/POS as it's language. This is commonly used for a Receipt or Bluetooth printer.

Label Settings - WiFi Connection

Label settings for use with a WiFi-connected printer.

Print Direction

The direction of the label print. Select either Normal or Reverse from the drop-down menu.

DPI* [required field]

The DPI this printer uses. The DPI can be often found in the printer specification or in a printer self test.

Label Settings - Bluetooth Connection

Label settings for use with a Bluetooth-connected printer.

Print Direction

The direction of the label print. Select either Normal or Reverse from the drop-down menu.

WiFi Settings

Use this option if your printer connects via WiFi.

IP* [required field]

The IP this printer uses on the Wifi network. This is commonly printed by the printer in its printer self-test or when the printer first connects to the Wifi network. This may change over time and may need to be updated if the connection resets.

Port* [required field]

The port this printer uses on the Wifi network. A printer will commonly use the port 9100 by default.

Bluetooth Settings

Use this option if your printer connects via Bluetooth.

Mac Address

The MAC (Media Access Control) Address for this printer.

Clicking on will bring up a list of Bluetooth devices for you to select from.

Save

Click to add the printer.

Click your name in the top right and select
Settings
.
  • Scroll down and select Printer Set-up from the Settings menu.

    Select the printer you would like to edit the settings for.

    The Edit Printer form will open.

    Update Details

    Update any settings as required following the guidelines for Adding a Printer above.

    Click your name and select Settings.

    Select Remove Printer

    Click on the 3 dots in the top right of the Edit Printer form and select Remove Printer.

    You will be asked to confirm.
