This doc will guide you through the Promotions process, including:
The Customer Promotions Page
From the Customer Promotions page, you can create promotional offers, define eligibility and pricing, manage active and upcoming promotions, and review expired offers. Whether you are running a limited-time sale, promoting new products, or rewarding loyal customers, Customer Promotions help you deliver targeted offers while simplifying promotion management and maintaining control over your promotional pricing.
To view the Customer Promotions page, select Customers from the main menu and go to the Promotions tab.

The number in the grey box to the right of each promotion -
- indicates how many customers that the promotion has been sent to.
Alternatively, to view promotions assigned to a specific customer, select the customer from the Customers list, then open the Promotions tab on the customer's page.

Promotion Details
Clicking on a promotion displays its details, including the offer information, description, customers the promotion has been sent to, its status, and any other relevant promotion details.

Promotion Statuses are colour-coded for easy identification:
- The customer has been sent the promotion.
- The customer has removed the promotion.

Adjustment

Adjustment Type* [required field]
Select how the promotion discount will be applied. Depending on the option selected, additional fields will be displayed to configure the promotion details, such as the discount value, eligible products, or other adjustment settings.
This allows you to create different types of promotions, such as percentage discounts, fixed amount discounts, or other promotional adjustments, depending on how you want the offer to be applied.

Price Override: Override the price to a new price, eg. $9.90.

Increase $: Increase by a fixed dollar amount, eg. $5 increase.

Increase %: Increase by a percentage amount, eg. 10% increase.

Discount $: Discount by a fixed dollar amount, eg. $5 off.

Discount %: Discount by a percentage amount, eg. 10% off..

Buy X Save Y%: Enter the percentage discount that customers receive when they purchase the required quantity of eligible items.
For example, a Buy 3, Save 10% promotion applies a 10% discount when the Minimum Qty is set to 3 and the customer purchases three qualifying items.

Buy X Save Y% is a quantity-based promotion where customers receive a percentage discount after purchasing a specified number of qualifying items.
Examples:
Buy 2, Save 10%: Purchase any two eligible products and receive 10% off those items.
Buy 3, Save 20%: Purchase three qualifying items and receive a 20% discount.
Buy 6, Save 15%: Purchase six eligible products and save 15% on the qualifying items.
This promotion encourages customers to buy larger quantities by rewarding them with a percentage discount once the minimum purchase quantity is met. It can apply to a single product or a group of eligible products, depending on how the promotion is configured.

BOGO (Buy one, get one): Enter the number of qualifying items required (Minimum Qty) and the number of free items to award (Gifted Qty). For example, if Minimum Qty is 2 and Gifted Qty is 1, the customer receives 1 free item when they purchase 2 qualifying items.

BOGO (Buy One, Get One) is a promotional offer where purchasing a qualifying product entitles the customer to receive another product at a discount or for free.
Examples:
Buy One, Get One Free (BOGO): Buy one loaf of bread and receive a second loaf free.
Buy Two, Get One Free: Buy two qualifying items and receive a third item free.
BOGO promotions are commonly used to increase sales volume, encourage customers to purchase multiple items, and promote specific products or product ranges. They can apply to the same product or a group of eligible products, depending on how the promotion is configured.
Best Practice: Encourage customers to order the total quantity they expect to receive, including any free items. For example, with a Buy 10, Get 10 Free promotion, customers should order 20 items, rather than ordering 10 and expecting an additional 10 to be added later. Ordering the full quantity ensures the promotion is applied correctly and provides greater accuracy throughout the fulfilment process. It also helps warehouse staff during Pick & Pack, as the pick list will show the full quantity to be picked (20 items in this example), reducing the risk of errors or missed free items.

Apply Adjustment

Apply Adjustment To* [required field]
Select whether the promotion adjustment should apply to all products or only selected products. This field determines the products, categories, or brands that will receive the promotion.

Depending on the option selected, additional fields will be displayed as follows:

All Products: Applies the promotion to all products you sell.

Products: Applies the promotion only to the selected products chosen from your product list.

Categories: Applies the promotion to all products within selected product categories.

Brands: Applies the promotion to products from selected brands.

Start Date
Select the date from which the promotion becomes active and the adjustment will be applied. Leave this field blank to make the promotion available immediately.

End Date
Select the date on which the promotion will no longer be active. Leave this field blank to keep the promotion running indefinitely.

Customer promotions are applied after any Customer Specific Pricing. If a customer has a special price for a product, the promotion will stack on top of that price rather than the standard product price. For Example: If a product normally costs $12.00, but a customer has a special price of $10.00, and you create a Buy 10, Get 10 Free promotion, the promotion will be calculated using the customer's special price. This means the effective price becomes $5.00 per item, not $6.00 based on the standard price.
