Adding a Price Change
Adding Price Changes in Supply'd allows you to set new product prices in advance and have them automatically take effect on a specified date, helping you plan and manage pricing updates efficiently.
Supply’d allows you to schedule price changes in advance, making it easier to plan and manage pricing updates across your products and sales channels. You can set future pricing to take effect on a specific date, helping ensure that price changes are applied at the right time without needing to update them manually.
Scheduling price changes is particularly useful for planned price increases, promotions, seasonal pricing, or other changes that need to take effect at a future date.
This option is useful when applying the same price change to multiple products or entire product categories. The same price adjustment must apply to all selected products. To apply different price changes to multiple products, use Bulk Price Change instead.
👉 See the Adding Price Changes in Bulk document for more details.
This document explains how to apply price changes to your products and schedule when the new prices will take effect.
How to Add a Price Change
Products & Channels
This section defines the sales channels and products that the price change will apply to.

Sales Channels
Select one or more Sales Channels to limit which channels the price change will apply to.
Leave this set to Default Pricing to apply the change to your default pricing.

Apply To
Choose how you want to select the products that the price change will apply to.

Selected Products - Apply the price change only to the specific products you select.
Selected Categories - Apply the price change to all products within the categories you select.
All Products - Apply the price change to all products in your product list.

Products
The Products field is displayed when Selected Products is selected in the Apply To field.

Click or type in the Products field to view and search the list of available products.

Categories
This field is displayed when Selected Categories is selected in the Apply To field.

Clicking on or typing in the Categories field will display a list of your categories to choose from.

For example, we want to run a sale on our Unicorn Chocolates across all our sales channels.
We would:
Leave Sales Channels set to "Default Pricing".
Choose "Selected Products" in the Apply To field.
Add all our Unicorn Chocolates to the Products field.

Price Adjustment
Define how the product prices will be changed, including the type and amount of the adjustment.

Price Action vs Sales Price Action
Price Action - Defines the change to the product’s base/default price. This is the starting price used when calculating any sales price adjustment.
Sales Price Action - Defines the change to the product’s sales price. This adjustment is calculated after the Price Action has been applied.
For example, if the base price is increased by 10% using Price Action, the Sales Price Action can then apply an additional increase or decrease to the resulting price.

Price Action
Select how you want to modify the product prices, including whether to increase, decrease, reset, or set a new price.

No Change - No change to the product's price.
Reset to Default - Will reset to the default price.
Set New Price - Set a specific new price. When this option is selected, a Price (inc tax) field will appear, allowing you to enter the new price.

% Increase - Increase the price(s) by a specified percentage. When this option is selected, a Price Adjustment (%) field will appear, allowing you to enter the percentage increase.

$ Increase - Increase the price(s) by a specified dollar amount. When this option is selected, a Price Adjustment ($) field will appear, allowing you to enter the amount of the increase.

% Decrease - Decrease the price(s) by a specified percentage. When this option is selected, a Price Adjustment (%) field will appear, allowing you to enter the percentage decrease.

$ Decrease - Decrease the price(s) by a specified dollar amount. When this option is selected, a Price Adjustment ($) field will appear, allowing you to enter the amount of the decrease.

Sales Price Action
Select how you want to modify the product’s sales prices. The sales price adjustment is applied after the Price Action has been calculated.
The available options and additional fields for Sales Price Action are the same as those available for Price Action above.

No Change - Make no change to the product's sales price.
Reset to Default - Reset the sales price(s) to the default sale price.
Set New Price - Set a specific new sales price.
% Increase - Increase the sales price(s) by a specified percentage.
$ Increase - Increase the sales price(s) by a specified dollar amount.
% Decrease - Decrease the sales price(s) by a specified percentage.
$ Decrease - Decrease the sales price(s) by a specified dollar amount.

In our example, our sale will have 10% off the price of all Unicorn Chocolates.
In this case we would:
Leave the Price Action set to "No Change".
Enter "10" in the Price Adjustment (%) field for the Sales Price Action.

Effective Period
Define when the price change will take effect and, if applicable, when it will end. This allows you to schedule pricing changes for a specific period.

Start Date
Select the date when the price change will take effect. Leave this field blank if you want the price change to take effect immediately.
Click the field to open the calendar and select the required start date.

End Date
Select the date when the price will revert to its original value, such as when a limited-time sale ends.
Leave this field blank if the price change should remain in effect indefinitely.

For example, if we want our Unicorn sale to run for one week.
We would:
Select the start date, eg. 12 January, from the Start Date calendar.
Choose the end date 7 days later, eg. 18 January, from the End Date calendar.
