# The Stock Feed Page

Using the Stock Feed helps you track stock movements accurately, investigate changes, and maintain clear accountability across your inventory.

The **Stock Feed** page in Supply’d provides a detailed record of stock movements at a **batch level**, including receipts, sales, production use, stocktakes, write-offs, and transfers. Each entry records information about the movement, such as the quantity, transaction type, batch, date, location, and user, providing clear visibility into how stock has changed over time.

This document explains how to view stock movements, use filters, and manage stock information:

## The Stock Feed Page

The **Stock Feed** page provides a detailed history of stock movements for a product. From this page, you can view:

<figure><img src="https://2965503026-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FDaPYJDB89ny0x7wcMedb%2Fuploads%2FZoEXe97LR89HnMFVYX0v%2FStock%20Feed.png?alt=media&amp;token=26f903d0-d846-4b51-bcbd-80f25ead5368" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Stock Movement Graph**

Shows how the stock quantity has changed over time for the selected location and batch.

**Location**

Select the location you want to view stock movements for.

**Batch**

Filter the Stock Feed to view movements for a specific batch or all batches.

<figure><img src="https://2965503026-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FDaPYJDB89ny0x7wcMedb%2Fuploads%2FYNfWdz0l687OZtv9NWI4%2FInventory%20-%20Stock%20Feed%20Batch%20Drop%20Down.png?alt=media&amp;token=0dae1e21-3b51-4817-8ffe-510648837a37" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Type**&#x20;

Filter stock movements by transaction type, such as sales, transfers, adjustments, or receipts.

<figure><img src="https://2965503026-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FDaPYJDB89ny0x7wcMedb%2Fuploads%2FZLzz7UY1AhqnHzpHKjU1%2FInventory%20-%20Stock%20Feed%20Type%20Drop%20Down.png?alt=media&amp;token=0a3c4f37-8b1c-4aed-9d40-66b2fe0e7045" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**User**&#x20;

Filter stock movements based on the user associated with the transaction.

**Table**

In the table, for each batch stock movement, you will see:<br>

* **Date** - Shows when each stock movement occurred.
* **Type** - Shows the type of transaction that caused the stock movement.
* **Batch ID** - Identifies the specific batch affected by the transaction.
* **Batch Code** - Shows the batch code associated with the stock.
* **Qty** - Shows the quantity added to or removed from the batch.
* **Old Count** - Shows the batch quantity before the transaction.
* **New Count** - Shows the batch quantity after the transaction.
* **Source** - Identifies where the stock movement originated.
* **Reference** - Provides a reference to the related transaction or record, where applicable.
* **User** - Shows the user associated with the stock movement.

Together, these details allow you to follow how and why the stock quantity of a particular batch has changed over time.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The **Stock Feed** displays stock movements at a **batch level**, rather than showing the overall stock level for a product. Each row represents a transaction against a specific batch, such as a sale, transfer, adjustment, or stock receipt.

For example, in the screenshot above, batch **6797** moves from an **Old Count** of **5** to a **New Count** of **0** after a sale. This only means that batch **6797** has been fully consumed. Another batch for the same product, such as batch **6784**, may still have stock available.\
\
\
**Important:** A batch reaching **0** in the Stock Feed does not necessarily mean the product has no stock remaining. To view the true current stock position for the product, refer to **Manage Stock** or **Stock On Hand**, which combines stock across all active batches.

{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
You can use the available filters to narrow the Stock Feed:<br>

* **Location** - Select the location you want to view stock movements for.
* **Batch** - Select a specific batch to view only the stock movements for that batch. Use this when you want to track how the quantity of an individual batch has changed over time.
* **Type** - Filter the feed by the type of stock movement, such as sales, transfers, adjustments, or receipts.
* **User** - Filter the feed to show stock movements recorded or performed by a specific user.

\
If **All Batches** is selected, the feed can contain transactions from multiple batches for the same product. For the clearest batch-level view, select the individual batch you want to review.
{% endhint %}

**Refresh**

Select **Refresh** to update the page and display the latest stock information, including recent stock movements, adjustments, and changes made by other users.

**Recalculate Availability**

Select **Recalculate Availability** to recalculate the product’s available stock based on its current stock levels, pending orders, and production requirements. This helps ensure the available quantity displayed in Supply’d is up to date.

{% hint style="warning" %}
As Supply’d updates and synchronises availability in real time, this option should rarely need to be used. Only use it if you have reason to believe the availability information has become out of sync or is not displaying correctly.
{% endhint %}

**Untrack Stock**

Select **Untrack Stock** to stop tracking inventory levels for the product. Once stock tracking is turned off, Supply’d will no longer maintain stock quantities or stock movements for the product.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you decide to track stock for the product again in the future, you will need to manually change **Manage Stock** back to **Yes**. To do this, select **Inventory**, select the product, then select **Yes** in the **Manage Stock** field. Normally, receiving purchased stock or producing a product can automatically enable **Manage Stock**, but after using **Untrack Stock**, it will not be automatically re-enabled.

Once selected, the option changes to **Hide No Stock Batches**, allowing you to hide empty batches and only view batches that currently contain stock. This helps keep the list clear and makes it easier to focus on stock that is currently available.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.supplyd.co/supplyd-erp/inventory/managing-inventory/the-stock-feed-page.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
