# Customer Locations
Managing Customer Locations helps ensure accurate delivery and billing information, reducing errors and making order fulfilment more efficient.
**Customer Locations** allow you to manage the addresses associated with your customers, such as delivery, billing, or other business locations. Keeping location information accurate and up to date helps ensure orders and deliveries are directed to the correct address and makes customer management more efficient.
This document explains how to view, add, edit, and manage **Customer Locations** in Supply’d.

## The Customer Locations Tab
The **Locations** tab on a customer’s page lists the locations associated with the customer, providing a central location to view and manage customer billing and shipping addresses and location details.
To view a customer’s locations:
1. Select **Customers** from the main menu.
2. Select a customer to open their details.
3. Select the **Locations** tab.

Click on an location to view its details.
**Location Details**
Displays the general details and contact information for this location.
**Opening Hours**
Displays the normal opening hours for the location.
**Delivery Details**
Displays the hours during which deliveries can be made to this location, along with any relevant notes or instructions to assist with deliveries.
**Advanced**
Displays advanced location information, including the **latitude**, **longitude**, and **map location**.

## Adding a Location
Some initial location details are added when the customer is first created (see [Adding a Customer](/supplyd-erp/customers/adding-customers-leads-and-customer-groups/adding-a-customer.md)). Additional location information and locations can be added from this page

You can only add, edit, or remove locations for customers that you have added yourself and that are marked as .
You cannot add, edit, or remove locations for customers marked as . However, you can add and edit the **Delivery Details** for customer locations.

#### Click Add+
With the **Locations** tab open, click **Add +** in the top right.
The **Add Location** form will open.

To open or close the sections on this form click the little arrows to the right of the titles (as circled in red above).

Complete the sections following the guidelines below:

#### Location Details
**Location Name\* \[required field]**
Enter a name to identify the location for internal use. This is typically the suburb, area, or store name.
**Location Type**
Select whether the location is used for **Billing**, **Shipping**, or both. Only one location can be set as the **Billing** address.
**Address\* \[required field]**
Enter the street address of the location.
**Suburb\* \[required field]**
Enter the suburb where the location is situated.
**State/Province\* \[required field]**
Enter the state or province where the location is situated.
**Postcode\* \[required field]**
Enter the postcode for the location.
**Country\* \[required field]**
Enter the country where the location is situated.

#### Operating Hours
Select the normal operating hours for this location.

If the **Delivery Window** hours vary from the normal **Operating Hours**, these can be updated in the **Delivery Details**.

#### Advanced
Displays the exact location of the site, including its **latitude** and **longitude** coordinates, along with a map for visual reference.

#### Save
Click to save all the contact's details.
The new location will show in the **Locations** list.

### Editing a Location

You can only edit locations for customers that you have added yourself and that are marked as .

You cannot edit locations for customers marked as . However, you can edit **Delivery Details** for customer locations.

Select the customer whose location you would like to edit:
1. Select **Customers** from the main menu.
2. Select the customer.

Select the location you would like to edit:
1. Go to the **Locations** tab.
2. Select the location.

Click the 3 dots on the top right and select **Edit Location.**
The **Edit Location** from will open.

Update any required location details by following the guidelines in the [#adding-a-location](#adding-a-location "mention") above.

Click to apply the changes.

## Updating Delivery Details
For both **Custom** and **Supply’d Customers**, you can edit the **Delivery Details** for a location, including the **Delivery Window** and adding or updating **Delivery Instructions**. This section explains how to update these details.

#### Select the Location
Select the location you would like to update the **Operating Hours** for.
1. Select **Customers** from the main menu.
2. Choose the customer to open their details.
3. Go to the **Locations** tab.
4. Select the location you would like to update.

#### Select Edit Delivery Details
Click on the 3 dots in the top right and select **Edit Delivery Details**.

For **Supply'd Customers** the only option will be **Edit Delivery Details**.\

The **Edit Delivery Details** form will open.

#### Complete the Form
Complete the form as follows:
#### Delivery Window
Update the default hours to reflect the times during which deliveries can be made to the location.

These hours are primarily used by the **Delivery** module to determine when deliveries can be scheduled, rather than the business's actual trading hours.
For many businesses, the times a delivery can be made differ from their customer-facing opening hours. For example, a convenience store may be open from **10:00 am to 5:00 pm**, but fresh milk is delivered between **3:00 am and 6:00 am** before the store opens. In some cases, delivery drivers may even have store keys or access codes to place stock inside the premises. In this scenario, the Operating Hours should be set to **3:00 am – 6:00 am**, as these represent the available delivery window.
These times will be displayed in the **Delivery Details** section of the locations page.

#### Delivery Instructions
**Delivery Notes**
Enter any relevant delivery instructions or notes to help drivers complete deliveries successfully at this location.
For example, you can include instructions on where at the location the delivery should be made, as well as the name and phone number of a location-specific contact so the driver knows who to contact if they need assistance during the delivery.
*“Deliver to the rear loading dock. Contact John on 04XX XXX XXX on arrival.”*

**Restoring Default Opening Hours**
If you need to restore the **Delivery Window** to the default **Operating Hours**:\
1. As above, select the **Location**.
2. Click the 3 dots in the top right and select **Edit Delivery Details**.
3. Click the 3 dots in the top right of the form and select **Reset Opening Hours**.\

You will be asked to confirm.\

This will restore the location’s **Opening Hours** to the default settings.
