# Connecting with a Supply'd Customer
Connecting with a customer already using Supply’d creates a direct link between your businesses, making it easier to share information, manage orders, and reduce duplicate customer records.
Connecting with a customer already using Supply’d creates a direct link between your businesses, making it easier to share information, manage orders, and streamline day-to-day interactions. Rather than manually creating and maintaining a separate customer record, you can connect directly with their existing Supply’d account.
Once connected, the customer can be managed through your Supply’d account alongside your other customers. This helps keep information consistent, reduces duplicate records, and provides a more efficient way to manage your business relationship.
This document explains how to find and connect with an existing Supply’d customer.

## The Connect Page
The **Connect** tab on the **Customers** page lists customers available to connect with on Supply’d. If you would like to trade with any of these customers, click **Connect** to send a connection request and enable trading through the platform.
Selecting a company will display its available information, allowing you to review the company’s details before deciding whether to connect with them.

## Connecting with a Supply'd Customer
Supply’d makes it easy to connect with customers who are already using the platform. You can find their company, review their details, and send a connection request directly from Supply’d.

A company can also add itself as a customer. This is useful for franchises or businesses with multiple stores ordering from a single production facility.
If you add yourself as a customer, you will automatically be added as a supplier, so there’s no need to add yourself separately as both a customer and a supplier.

#### Go to the Connect Page
Select **Customers** from the main menu. The **Customers** page will open, showing a list of all your customers. Go to the **Connect** tab.

#### Select the Company
Select the company you would like to connect with.

Alternatively, when entering a company’s name while [Adding a Customer](/supplyd-erp/customers/adding-customers-leads-and-customer-groups/adding-a-customer.md), Supply’d will automatically search for matching companies already using the platform. If a match is found, the system will suggest connecting with that customer instead of creating a new custom customer record.
To connect with this customer, click .

The company's details will open.
If you have multiple Supply’d stores, a **Connect to Stores** field will be displayed at the top of the page.
In the **Connect to stores** field, you can select which stores you would like this customer to connect with.

All your stores are listed by default. To remove a store, click the **"X"** next to its name. Alternatively, to remove a store from a customer’s list (after requesting a connection), click the 3 dots beside the customer’s name and select **Disconnect** to unlink the customer from the store.

#### Click Connect
Click . You will be asked to confirm.
The customer will appear on your **Customers** list with the status as .
The company will receive a connection request. Once the request is accepted, you can begin trading and managing the customer relationship through the platform.
