# Getting started

Connect a compatible AI assistant to Supply'd ERP during the private beta.

## Before you connect

Supply'd MCP is currently available by invitation as a **private beta**. Your Supply'd ERP account must have MCP access enabled before you can connect.

Standalone Supply'd Hub and Supply'd Lite accounts cannot connect to MCP.

You also need:

* permission to view the Supply'd ERP areas you want to use;
* an AI client that supports remote MCP servers and OAuth; and
* permission from your AI workspace administrator to add custom connectors, if your organisation manages that setting.

If you use Supply'd ERP but have not been invited to the private beta, contact your Supply'd account manager or Supply'd Support.

## Connection details

| Setting                   | Value                                 |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| Name                      | Supply'd                              |
| Server URL                | `https://mcp.supplyd.co/`             |

| Supply'd product required | Supply'd ERP with private beta access |

Most compatible clients discover the sign-in settings automatically from the server URL. You should not need to enter a client ID or client secret.

## What happens when you connect

1. Add Supply'd as a custom connector or app in your AI client.
2. Enter the Supply'd MCP server URL.
3. Your browser opens Supply'd for sign-in.
4. Review and select the ERP business areas the connection may read.
5. Approve the connection.
6. Return to your AI client and enable Supply'd for a conversation.

The exact menu labels vary by client and may change over time. Use the client-specific guides below:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.supplyd.co/mcp/getting-started.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
