# Delivery Schedules
Delivery schedules in Supply’d let you create detailed delivery plans for each shipping zone and rule, including specific cut-off times for when orders must be placed. This helps ensure deliveries are organised and happen on time. Because Supply’d’s delivery scheduling is quite advanced, it requires several connected components - such as delivery rules, zones, and operating hours - to work together seamlessly. This setup gives you full control and flexibility over how and when deliveries are managed.

## Setting Up a Delivery Schedule
In order to setup a delivery schedule there are a number of components that need to be set to allow it to work:
1. Set [Operating Days](#set-operation-days) under **Company Settings**.
2. Set [Delivery Days](#set-delivery-days) under your **Shipping Zone**.
3. Set [Order Cut-off and Delivery Delay](#set-order-cut-off-and-delivery-delays) under your **Shipping Zone Rule**.
This setup allows for granular control over delivery schedules, even allowing you to offer same day and next day delivery options within the same zone. If any one of these steps is not completed then delivery schedules would not be used.

### Set Operating Days
Operating days defines the days of the week that your business is operational. This is used to calculate the processing time. For example, if you offer next day delivery on Monday to Friday and you also operate only on Monday to Friday, then if someone misses the cut-off on the Friday we would know that any order placed after this would actually be delivered on the Tuesday rather than the Monday.
To set the operating days:

#### Go to Settings
Click on your company name in the top right and select **Settings**.

Select **Company Settings** from the **Settings** menu.
The **Company Settings** form will open. Scroll to **Operating Days**.

#### Set the Operating Days
Under **Operating Days**, select which days your business operates.

### Set Delivery Days
**Delivery Days** define the specific days on which you deliver to a particular zone.
To set the delivery days:

Click on your company name in the top right and select **Settings** (as above).

Select **Shipping Settings** from the **Settings** menu.

#### Select the Shipping Zone
Click on the **Shipping Zone** you want to edit.

#### Select Edit Zone
Click on the 3 dots in the top right and select **Edit Zone**.
The **Edit Shipping Zone** form will open.

#### Set the Delivery Days
Under **Delivery Schedule** select which days you will deliver to this zone.

### Set Order Cut-off & Delivery Delays
The order cut-off defines the time of day that an order needs to be placed before in order to receive a specific delivery. Delivery delays defines the processing time for the order. This allows you to manage if the rule is for same day, next day, +2 day delivery or more. The delivery delay is defined based on the operating days not the delivery days.
To set the order **Cut-off** and **Delivery Delay** for a **Delivery Zone:**

Click on your company name in the top right and select **Settings** (as above).

Select **Shipping Settings** from the **Settings** menu.

#### Select the Shipping Zone
Click on the **Shipping Zone** that contains the **Shipping Rule** you want to add the **Order Cut-off** time to.

Select the **Shipping Rule** you want to add the **Order Cut-off** time to
The **Edit Shipping Rule** form will open.

#### Go to Advanced Settings
Scroll to **Advanced Settings** and complete the fields:
**Order Cut-off**
A delivery cut-off defines the period of time prior to a delivery day that an order must be placed. If this time has passed the delivery day would not be available to the customer when ordering.
Choose **Not Set** to not use a delivery cut-off.
**Delivery Delay**
The **Delivery Delay** specifies the number of days between when an order is placed and when it will be delivered. This allows you to account for processing time, preparation, or transit when scheduling deliveries, helping ensure customers receive accurate delivery estimates.
Enter the number of days it typically takes from when an order is placed to when it is delivered.
* For example, if orders usually take **2 days** to process and deliver in that zone, enter **2**.
* Use **0** if delivery is same-day.
* Use **1** for next day delivery.
**Available To**
Select whether this rule is applies to **All Customers** or **Specific Customers Only**.
If **Specific Customers Only** is selected, an additional field - **Customer(s)** - will show allowing you to select specific customers.
**Customer(s)**
Select the customers you would like this rule to be applied to.

This field will only show if **Specific Customers Only** is selected in the **Available To** field.

**Warehouse Location**
Whether or not to override the default warehouse location that orders for this shipping rule are mapped to.
If set to "Default" it will use the setting defined in your [order-settings](https://help.supplyd.co/configuring-supplyd/settings/order-settings "mention").
If another location is selected, the pick location and inventory will be allocated to the chosen location.
